December 5, 201114 yr comment_36978  Just a plank of wood. Still needs a lot of work to finish it up.    Wife AND Daughter are fighting over it.Those black marks are nails, still in the leg. Still a lot of smoothing out to do.   I did get rid of most of that white stuff ( glue squeeze out) AFTER this picture was taken. Still need to hand plane some details on the edges, just a bevel is all.   Just an old plank of wood..... December 6, 201114 yr Author comment_36984 Board(s) came from a very old garage/small barn that more or less fell apart.  There was four planks, averaging 13" wide, in the pile.  This one was the best of the four. The others had a lot of splits/rot/bugs.  I also have a few 4/6 beams a-drying in the shop as well.  SQ said: That's got a lot of charm!  Where did you get that old plank of wood? December 7, 201114 yr Author comment_36983   Top is now attached.  FIRST coat of Ipswich Pine stain is on everything( including me) letting it dry for a while.   I have a light streak in that top (????) unknown where it came from. Some of the wood was just like a very dry sponge, other parts it just sat there. Know more after it has dried for awhile.   Freezing rain here tomorrow ( my day off) so I might not get to work out in the shop. Need to start mill parts for a Toy Box.   "raised panels" will be just some wellpicked out Luann plywood.   Top may have to be glued up here at the house.   I hate winters in Ohio 'and may the road raise up to meet ye' Report
