December 5, 201114 yr comment_36967 I have a few batteries for my 19.2 drills that just don't seem to hold a charge as long. Of course I can go and purchase new batteries and turn these in to recycle. December 6, 201114 yr comment_36974 I have used Batteries Plus and would recommend them. Bear in mind that each store is independently operated. What my local store can do yours may not. I have had DeWalt, Porter Cable, and Milwaukee refurbished. My store does not do Lithium Ion so I am out of luck there. Prices at my store are from 60 to 75% of a new battery. However, the cells are of higher quality and the amp hour rating may be greater. Turnaround time was quick. Usually a couple of days. Many times the battries you need may already be on the shelf. You trade your bad ones for "new" ones. Take your charger too. The Milwakkee set I had done wouldn't hold a charge after I got it home. I called back and was told to bring my charger in. They checked it, and found it bad. Report
December 6, 201114 yr Author comment_36973 Greg, thanks that is what I was wondering. I have four Craftsman drills, three 19.2 and one 15.4. A new battery at Sears is about 39.00. I think I will take them down to the store and see what they can do. It is the first time I have ever heard of doing that.I don't have a welder and not sure if I have a battery charger any more. December 6, 201114 yr comment_36968 I found a Batteries +, several in fact, in the Phoenix area. I just emailed them to see if we could do business by UPS/USPS. Thanks John, and those who also mentioned Batteries +. I used the death of the Makitas as an excuse to get that little black and white Makita 18volt, several months ago.
