December 6, 201114 yr I have a Jet JJ-8 jointer. the other day the motor just stopped. Upon investigation, I find the wires to the run capacitor have broken off.Probably from vibration but not sure. I want to replace it but the writing on the side is about gone. Does anyone know what MFD rated capacitor is correct of a 2hp 220V 1ph 3450RPM motor?
December 6, 201114 yr Author Finally found a number to call Jet Technical Department, fellow by the name of David helped me determine is takes a 40 MFD (microfarad) capacitor. Thanks david.
