December 7, 201114 yr lately I have shown you a project or two that were not quite complete, well i am semi happy to say that they are now done and I am now working on a 3rd with more in planning. Remember the bell ornament that i was making out of Amboyna burl scrap? Here it is. It is a bit longer on the hammer end of the bell than i really wanted, but it just was not wanting to go together the way I had planned it Remember the pen I was working on that i showed you the nib end of? Here it is, it was a "fat" pen that I thinned down to try to make it a bit more appealing to people that wanted a regular pen look instead of something that had considerably more wood on it. It didn't turn out as good as I had hoped because the tube ends were apparently not quite square with the wood (I originally made this pen when I had the old lathe). Next up will be one of my favorite projects, yet another magnet, this time in Birdseye Maple. More on that later. Charlesnicholls61@att.net

December 14, 201114 yr Very nice looking pen Charles. I love to turn Cocobolo also. It turns very nicely and has such a good finish. Glad you are able to get a little time in to turn and to share them with us. Charles Nicholls said: Thanks guys for the kind words. The magnet got put on the back burner for a day or 2 because I will have to strip the finish off and re sand due to a tool mark that I didn't see until after pictures were being made. Oh well, here is a pen that I just completed in Cocobolo. i don't get a chance very often to work with that type of wood, so it's a treat when i do. Yea there is a small piece of wax on the clip in this image, it's not there now though Charlesnicholls61@att.net
