January 5, 201214 yr I made this ring for a co-worker of mine. Started on it last night and finished it up this morning... about 20 layers of CA in the winter takes a little extra time. I've been getting these things thinner and thinner with a goal of making them as comfortable to wear as metal rings... I like functional art. It's less than 1/8" thick, and that's about as far as I was willing to press my luck.
January 20, 201214 yr You turned this? Â How did you get it to be the right size let a lone a hole in the middle? Â Very nice!

January 20, 201214 yr Author John... thank you very much for the comment. Cherie... I drill them to approximate size and sand them out to the correct size using a ring size chart and calipers and worked out a few ways to hold the rings to turn and finish the outside. My camera batteries are shot but as soon as I replace them (or the camera) I will reveal the way I do them.... work is a bear right now, so it might be a couple of weeks before I have time to write the process up in an understandable way.
