WorkBench Sept Oct 1965

Featured Replies

Yet another really cool issue from my old collection of WorkBench Magazines from the 1960's. My usual disclaimer: The new Workbench has been notified and they could care less if we post these old issues here.

We are going to change the way we do this though from now on. I will post the cover of the magazine along with the contents. As usual, browse the contents to your delight, and request any articles or plans you may wish you view and I will scan them and post them. The difference is, plans will now be posted at Free Plans and Drawings and articles can still be posted here.

So without further ado. Here is WorkBench Sept Oct 1965. I have gone ahead and scanned and posted the Cobblers Bench in Free Plans and Drawings, it is a really neat little plan. We have discussed this before, but beware, these plans are assuming the woodworker has a certain level of skills that they are able to do "Take Offs" without much focus on skill building and techniques but more focus on the schematics of the project. Have fun!

John; I'm always looking for different bird feeders because I can sell a few of those at the farmer's Market starting in June. When you have time, I'd like to see that one.

Also the Cobbler's Bench looks interesting.

Thanks

You got it Harry, I'll be on in and out all day, so sometime today I'll get those up for you. I'll notify you here when I get em on. Thanks Harry! And your right, Bird Feeders do really good at markets!

I love that ol cobblers bench, my pops made one when I was a kid and it looked awesome. He even chain whipped it and pounded nail indents into it to make it look used, and he use ground standard nail heads square and used them as well.

John, I'd like a closer peak at the candle stand and wheel barrow when you get a chance.

Thank you
