My Shop Dogs Hard at Work!

Featured Replies

This is just a short video of our shop dogs. The little one is our Lhasa Apso Woody, he is the owner of my shop, and the larger puppy is our new puppy Jessie. We rescued her from the animal shelter just before Christmas. When we brought Jessie home Woody gave her a cold reception, but since then they have become really good pals. Now, Woody has to show Jessie every now and then just who is still boss around these parts regardless of size. And Jessi is such a sweetheart that she lets ol Woody have his way with her just to save his pride. Our new puppy Jessie is part Golden Retriever and Chow. And she is a sweetheart, very affectionate. Thank you for sharing a little bit of our shop life here at The Patriot Woodworker.

John,

What a great video!  Really enjoyed it!  I use to have a lhasa apso named Cleo. She was such a character.  Looks like Jessie is adjusting well to his new home.  Cute pair!  Nice looking shop, by the way.

Jesse's ears are a stitch! Make's her look so inquisitive. Really cute. Pound puppies are the best!

When we had to put Sarge down last month, I swore off dogs for a while. After seeing your video, "a while" may be a shorter time than I originally planned.

Great camera work and excellent video and sound quality. Love the chirping birds.

Thanks SQ, they are indeed getting along well, I was a bit worried at first, Woody didn't want much to do with her, but now they inseparable. And thanks for the kudos on my cluttered work space! I didn't mean to get that into the video, I had to turn the rec on first and then walk around the corner to surprise them on candid camera!

Thanks Gene, we thought we would have to wait a bit after Sofie died, but Woody seemed really lonely. We love our rescue dogs.

Jessie is as inquisitive as she looks!

Thanks John and Lew! The oldest is actually the smaller, he is about 5 years old. Our new pup Jessie the larger one is 6 months old. We are so happy we found her. Our Sofie who passed a while back would have loved Jessie.

Larry, I want to thank you, we were hesitant on looking for a puppy so soon, we felt like we would be disrespecting our Sofie who died before Thanksgiving. It just seemed too soon. But you planted the seed in us, by mentioning how Woody could get some serious health issues from the loneliness. And you were right, Woody was having a very tough time without Sofie. So for Woody's sake, we went out and looked for a play mate. and we got very lucky. Thanks Larry. And thanks folks for the kind comments. Jessie is very smart. She already follows commands pretty good.
