January 10, 201214 yr Here is the latest in what has become a series of turned rings. Tonights offering is a Bocote ring. It's 3/64" thin and 15/64" narrow. Proportion wise, this is the smallest one so far, but it is still as durable as any of the others I've made. Please try to overlook the specks of dust and lent on the photos.
January 10, 201214 yr That is most beautiful Donnie! Great work man and what a wonderful finish. I can only say , Hey Donnie, I think you were asking about some blanks awhile back, and I said I'd be getting some lumber in soon, I think I am going bring a truck load home this week. So stand by if your still interested. John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker
January 10, 201214 yr Author Thanks John... In the case of these rings the CA not only makes them shiny, but it soaks down into the wood so deep that they are almost completely stabilized.
January 10, 201214 yr Donne, great job on the Bocote ring. The grain pattern with the bocote is awesome. I like the size (thinness) and the finish. The CA does a great job.John MoodyJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
