Pretty cool Greg,I love the 3D figures. How the heck do you sand those???? I'd like to know are those free style figures?

I take it back, not freestyle, that is a piano at one angle and notes at another!

Yep, The patterns for these have a different figure on each side, I'll post a pic of one of the patterns so you can see what I'm talking about. These patterns came from a book called 128 compound cut patterns by Sam Keener. As far as sanding goes since the actual piece comes out of the middle of the block of wood there is very little sanding. When I do need sand I use either a scrap of sandpaper or another good tool to have is emery boards used for finger nails, I buy them from the $ store, you can trim them to size and use them like a small file, another good method of getting rid of the fuzz on the edges of scroll saw projects is to use a pencil torch and just pass it over the edges lightly. I plan on doing a blog on compound cuts real soon, I'll load it up with in progress pics so everyone can visualize it better.

John, here's a pic of one of the patterns so you can picture it a little better.

It's still pretty cool how it comes out. Messes with my little mind.

When I first saw the book it really intrigued me, which enticed me to buy the book and learn more.
