Custom intarsia plans

Featured Replies

This guy will make a custom plan for you from a photo. I've seen some of his work and have one of his original but non custom plans. He does nice work.

Here is is email: coffeyscustomwoodworking@yahoo.com

Gene, thanks for sharing that with us, I'm sure all the intarsia artists will appreciate it.

Wayne,

I don't think so. He's a member of the Woodworking Talk forum. I pulled up his particulars looking for a web site and didn't find one. His screen name is scoffey. Here is a a link to a couple of his projects made from a painting. scoffey

I bought the "Sugar Skull" pattern that you see towards the end of the thread. Unlike other's plans, he only supplies what you see in the post. No hints about thicknesses, types of wood, colors, shaping, etc.

A lot of the fun, for me anyway, is figuring those things out for myself.

I agree, half the fun is doing it on the fly so to speak. Figuring out the wood and and the details. I will have to check him out. Thanks.
