February 5, 201214 yr Seems every time I turn around we got other stuff going on. No I am not complaining, because all the stuff we gots going on is all family, and I am a blessed man to have the family I have. But there are times I wish we could just settle down, take a breather, and let ol Dad get back in the shop and finish things up. I have a ton of ideas flooding my little brain too. Videos for TPW, events, fundraising, participating here in my home town with Homes For Our Troops, we have a disabled vet who is getting his home built soon, and my family and I are going to be there, to help in anyway we can. I can say this though, what we do do, is done as a family! But I digress, the ol woodshop is calling my name, and my first romantic love in life, woodworking, keeps calling my name like a siren. I'll make it back out there soon enough, it always seems that when I reach my breaking point, my mental separation from sanity, the time presents itself for me to head back out to the shop. So, with that, see yall out in the shop! Hopefully!!! John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops

February 6, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. Right now I don't see any shop time for the next two weeks with the stuff going on. But hey, it could be worse, unlike my mid west and east coast friends who have to deal with freezing temps in their shops, at least I have hope of getting back into mine sometime very soon! I do get to walk through it though on the way out to my car in the morning on my way to work, that's nice!John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops

February 12, 201214 yr John, It's never easy getting everything done in a mere 24 hours per day.  I budget and justify shop time by call it mental health time.  It puts my world in perspective.  SQJohn Morris said:Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. February 12, 201214 yr At my house it's getting to the point where my wife is racing me to the shop She does most of the sanding and drilling as she isn't comfortable around some of the larger power tools yet. I did get her to use the band saw for some cutting though so she is making improvments. Her next project to tackle is some stack laminated bowls cut on the band or scroll saws. I think this is good as I'll get to purchase a new spindle and hopefully drum sander for the shop. Round Barn WoodCrafts, Plymouth WIroundbarnwoodcrafts@hotmail.com
