February 14, 201214 yr Well this is the first project from my new scroll saw. It's not perfect, the stripes are a little squiggly in places but I learned a few things during the project as I was getting used to the new saw. Thanks for looking and I welcome all comments good and bad!
February 14, 201214 yr Mike, that is definitely a project to be proud of. I'm glad you shared it with us. Greghttp://www.thesawdustfactory.net/

February 19, 201214 yr Mike,That is truly spectacular! Â What size is that? Â What kind of paint did you use? I am tempted to make one myself. Â SQHappiness is wood chips flying!
February 19, 201214 yr Author SQ the finished piece is approx 9.5 X 13.5, the paints are white spray enamel for the backer board, the red white and blue are indoor / outdoor acrylic that I bought at MICHAELS which is in the 8 oz. bottles and sells for $2.50 per bottle and then I used spray acrylic sealer from Michaels. I also bought the small foam brushes that Michaels has on sale for 14 for $1.00. The pattern was a free pattern from Wood magazine February 2002. It was on their website for free download but I lost mine when I formatted my hard drive but one of our members sent it to me. If you can send me your e-mail I'll send it to you. I think I'm going to make another but with reverse view and join them together for a larger plaque.SQ said:Mike,That is truly spectacular!  What size is that?  What kind of paint did you use?
