I have been turning off and on for about 40 years.  Got serious about 4 yrs ago.  bought a nova lathe and am going stgrong.  retired in 99 and bought a 5th wheel.  found a place for a scrollsaw in it and away we went..  Most people store blankets etc. under the bed.  That was my wood supply.  I got into making pictures on the saw as I didn't have anything else to cut a straight line.  Kind of hard to do with that little blade.  Am now living in southern Idaho and really enjoy it here.

Jim, thanks for the intro, and thanks for coming aboard. Glad to meet ya and I am very interested in hearing more about your experience with the Nova Lathe. I hear it's the cats meow. When you were scrolling in your 5th wheel, did you scroll inside or take it outside and entertain the folks at the rv parks?

John, most of the time I was outsind on a picnic bench.  I made one cutting and sold it before the finish was on it.  She had to have it that night as they were leaqving at 4 the next morning.   Told them to leave it outside that night to let the oil dry.  Must have worked out as I didn't see them again .   Jim

That's great Jim. What a cool way to pay as you go! Need a little beer money? Just cut some art work for the patrons! Gas money? Hold on honey, let me fire up the saw and drum up some business.Grin.gif
