February 25, 201214 yr comment_33496 After purchasing a magnifier light and using it for a couple of projects on my scroll saw I found that mounting it to the arm or the table posed some problems so I came up with a more convenient mount that got the magnetic base out of the way and placed in an out of the way location that didn't interfere with the saws operation or controls but gave me the ability to adjust the magnifier to it's best focal length from the blade and there is no vibration transmitted to the light. This light works great and now it's even better. The bracket is a bit crude but it functions beautifully. I'll take the bracket to work and media blast and paint it and it'll look a lot better. It's made out of 1/8" X 2" steel flat stock a couple of nylon bushings, 4 steel rivets. $6.50 in material cost. Not too bad considering I cut all the pieces with a hacksaw and bent the side pieces with a hammer and a vice and the hand filed the rough areas.http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/forums/uploads/ning-dscn0086-33496-15.jpg' target="_self"> Report
