February 25, 201214 yr Author  That would be Ap'l 25-02, and Mar 19-02.   Made between 1902, and 1907.   Type 9, #8c.     Almost took two people to carry the Big guy to the van.   Mouth is a bit broken out, still, this IS a jointer type of plane.    Tote might be re-done, as well...Turned down a #26 Trans.  They wanted $35 for it, and the wood part would have to be re-soled, in the least. There was anothe all wood one as well, just wanted too much for it.'and may the road raise up to meet ye'
February 26, 201214 yr Author  I got the frog and the lever cap cleaned up at work last night.   Cleaned the iron up today, and will do the same with the chip breaker , tonight at work.     Got to work tonight, and tomorrow night, bummer!    Double time $$$ tonight , though I need to bring my printer back home from my DD, and print off a couple templates for totes. I'll need a new one for my #4 ( Ol'Red) and one for the "new" and IMPROVED #8c, type 9.   I now have a large and growing "family" of planes.   That old #129 is now my Fore Plane, with the #8c to be my Jointer.   'and may the road raise up to meet ye'
