March 1, 201214 yr comment_33074 I have a Porter Cable Pinner. I like it and use it quite a bit on trim pieces. Holes are pretty small and almost unnoticeable. My wife purchased it for me for my birthday last year. March 2, 201214 yr comment_33073 I've got one from Harbor Freight. paid around $25, and it has come in real handy. I only use it once or twice a month, mainly for trim on picture frames. In dark woods the pins are almost invisible. March 2, 201214 yr comment_33072 I have had the PC Pin Nailer for a number of years and it has been great. I cannot remember what I paid for it from Home Depot, but it was not too bad and it was less than the others that they had on their shelf. Mine shoots 1/2" to 1" pins with zero problems. But the newer PC Pin Nailer will shoot 1 3/8" which is nice.But if you want the top dog out there look at the Grex. It is more money but it consistently gets great reviews. Grex has shot 1/2" to 1 3/8" pins for a years, but now they have one out that will shoot up to 2" pins, but it has not received good reviews as pins that long have issues with curling and not being counter sunk especially in harder woods or woods with very course grain like red oak.I really love having a pin nailer and would not trade it. If you want to give it a test drive just let me know and you can use mine for awhile to see how you like it. March 2, 201214 yr comment_33071 I have the PC set. Love them, pins are not all that noticeable but the big thing is setting our air right. Never had a problem with mine in the 4 or 5 years I have had them. March 2, 201214 yr comment_33070 John i have the bostich brand pin nailer, i find that if i need the strength of a longer pin then i should step up to a brad nailer, and of course then the finish nailer. I use it both in my shop and out on the job site. been reliable for years. Report
