March 5, 201214 yr hi, my church does this thing where after outreach we gift a item that  is used daily and is of some sort of function or comfort.  to a group we are trying to reach.   in the past it has been easy to  figure out a item  but this time the women's ministry is reaching out to women in the adult industry.  and I want to be able to utilize my resource but I have no idea what we could built that would, be a constant reminder  of love.  I was thinking maybe a keychain? but like I said I am at  a loss,,, any ideas.. and i know  there are things we can all think of that are in fact funny.  but, but I am being serious here, so please keep it honest.  we really want toÂ
March 5, 201214 yr Michael, is there a size or price limit you try to stay within? If you are reaching out to women, a small cutting board would be a constant reminder. Something that would be out on the counter and seen regularly. Even if you don't go to the extent of end grain boards, a nice edge grain board is quick to glue up and sand flat.Give us some idea of how involved you want the project to be and it will help to give you good suggestions.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
March 5, 201214 yr Author well as they say "lumber is no object" but I am not sure how many guys here feel the way I feel about their time that I feel about my lumber a cutting board would be nice,  and it would be functional, helpful,  I like it.Â
March 5, 201214 yr I like boxes. How about a tea box or recipe box? Maybe a small band saw box.As you suggested before, a key chain would easy. If you knew the name of the recipient, a scroll sawn name key chain would be nice.Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.'
