March 19, 201214 yr A while back I made this door plaque that consisted of one American flag but I wanted to carry it further so I reversed the pattern and made a second flag with the idea of placing a profile of an eagle head above  a shield between the flags with a "WELCOME" banner below the flags. I have looked at a huge amount of eagle patterns but haven't been able to find one that fits the bill. I'm hoping to get Corel Draw 5 to modify a pattern but am not able to at this time. Do any of you have or know where I might find the eagle head pattern and a banner pattern that possibly replicates the waving of the flags in the banner? The dimension of the flags together is 28" X 12" and I will be mounting the plaque on a backer board and then attached to our front door. Thanks for any assistance you folks may be able to lend!
March 20, 201214 yr Mike, here's a couple places to check, they all have yard art type patterns and might have something you can use or adapt.http://www.meiselwoodhobby.com/Home.aspxhttp://www.cherrytreetoys.com/http://www.thewinfieldcollection.com/GregScroll Saw forum hosthttp://www.thesawdustfactory.net/
March 20, 201214 yr Mike Here is a picture of the banners I though about when I read your post. I think it would would look nice and work well with the design. Shouldn't be too hard to draw out and cut, and would give you room for the welcome message. Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
March 20, 201214 yr Author Greg thanks for the links I'll check them out a bit latter. Wayne thanks for the banners. The top one is exactly what I had in mind and I'll use it with your permission as a guide and draw up some samples in a few days. Thanks again you guys are great!
March 20, 201214 yr MikeThose came from another web site of photos. I have used pictures like this to design what I needed, Sort of like a base idea to go from. I did look to see if I still had the plans of the one I made, I can not find them or I would post them for you.Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
