March 20, 201214 yr The big foot of gluesIt's sort of like this invisible stealth bomber right in my driveway.Cant' see it.Never heard of it.I did know that Titebond has an EXTEND product that works better than those pills they sell on the TV.
March 20, 201214 yr Taken from a review on American Woodworker:"Although the glue lines are transparent, other advantages of using Titebond Translucent Wood Glue are readily apparent: excellent bond strength, four-to-six-minute working time and short clamp time. Woodworkers can easily wipe excess glue off the wood and work area with water when wet – and sand cured glue before staining or painting the wood to attain a perfect finished look. Once cured, Titebond Translucent offers higher heat resistance than typical PVA glues for more durable bonds over time. And, because the glue is non-toxic, it’s a safe glue to use when introducing children to woodworking."Sounds like an excellent glue for projects that require quick set times and reduces the clamp time which frees up clamps for those of us that don't have the Norm Abrams clamp arsenal.Â
March 20, 201214 yr I have not had the opportunity to use it. But if it anything like the rest of their products, It should perform well.No greater Loves than God, Family, Friends, country, the sight of flying chips and the smell of saw dust.
