In the Market for a File or Rasp? Great Article by Slav

Featured Replies

Since working on my rockers, I have found my rasps and files have new position front and center in my shop.

John recently I read in a woodworking magazine a gentleman that found Farrier files work very well for wood working and can be purchased at most feed and grain stores and some large animal vets. For those that aren't familiar with the term "farrier" it's a person that shoes horses.

Pretty Interesting John. Thanks

Hey Mike, I have one Farrier File and it does work great for taking down wood. I would like to add that the Farrier File is almost like 20 tiny little planes, each cutting edge, is so big, that I actually get wood shavings when I run it across, not dust or grindings. And it cuts really clean! Great point Mike and thanks for bringing this up.
