March 26, 201214 yr I hope everybody had a great weekend. I got quite a bit done, sanded and assembled some more mini birdhouses, and worked on a piece for a BBQ catering co. that a friend owns. Dinked around with a few other things in the shop too. About all I didn't do was take any pictures . Oh yeah I glued up a bunch of 3/4" strips for a puzzle that I need to get done. I did find a couple interesting videos for everyone to enjoy. Did anyone else work on anything over the weekend? Larry Buskirk This one is for you. And a couple links for everyone to check out. http://www.mikesworkshop.com/ http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/ GregScroll Saw forum hosthttp://www.thesawdustfactory.net/

March 26, 201214 yr Morning, Greg and John - Yep, Greg is doing double duty. Greg, thanks for pointing out Mike's Workshop for everyone into scrolling.  I have been using his blades for years and have fallen in love with the new UR style blades.  These blades have four teeth down and one up over the length of the blade.  Makes for virtually no feathers top or bottom.  Just my humble opinion and, NO, I do not work for Mike - he has become a friend. I just wanted to share a couple of things I finished this weekend as well.  The first one is a Steve Good patterns of a Scherenschnitte paper cutting.  Cut into 3/8" Spanish Cedar on a 3/8" Oak background. This second one is a Baby Picture Frame From Spring 2012 Scrollsaw Woodworks and Crafts  (no, the baby is not mine) (Sorry, this picture is slightly out of focus - must have has saw dust in my eye when I took it) Fredaka Pop's Shopwww.pops-shop.comEX-21'Don't complain about the storm - learn to dance in the rain.'

March 27, 201214 yr Author John, my first show won't be until the Sat. of Easter weekend, actually it is a local Easter egg hunt and kind of spring kick off. I'm just trying to build up some inventory of spring type stuff, and get a couple of things for local customers done. I got too lazy during the winter months, if I'd stayed busy all winter I could be fishing on Sundays now John Morris said: Busy as usual aren't you Greg! March 27, 201214 yr Author WOW Fred those both look great  I saw the Steve Good pattern when it came out a couple weeks ago, you really did it justice. I don't subscribe to the magazine and Books a million doesn't have it yet, I was there today, so i haven't seen any of the patterns in it yet. Fred Wilson said: Morning, Greg and John - Yep, Greg is doing double duty. March 27, 201214 yr Fred great work. Love it all. As for my week end. I started on tearing out the section of my game room, to facilitate a new work bench and sharping station. The Mrs. added a last minute request for a display for her beading bracelets and jewelry. Got the word on this Sunday night and needles to say, everything else got put on hold. 4 Days from start to finished product and she didn't know exactly what she wanted. Think I came up with a winner though, and will post some pics later.Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
March 27, 201214 yr Just wanted to share a cutting of a modified Steve Good pattern.  I have modified it some more and asked Steve if I could share the pattern with y'all.  Still waiting to hear from him. God bless our troops AND veterans.  Cut from 1/2" Sapele with a 1/4" pine backer.  (Read about this wood on  Wikipedia. March 27, 201214 yr Thanks Greg, Nice Model 1200, made me have to look at the catalogs. 1937 was the first year that the word Delta wasn't cast into the upper arm. At first glance I thought it was a later Model 1440.  Larry OWWM Forum Host
