April 7, 201214 yr Just a small container that I intend to store my 7mm pen bushings in. The cat seems to think that dad doesn't need them and therefor they are his toys to play with This is generally what the container would have looked like if the top hadn't come apart due to a natural split that I had hoped would hold Here is what the inside looks like. The walls are just over 1/8" thick. Since the the top split I need to find a suitable cap wood. I still have a bit of work to do and finishing. Without lid, the size is about 3 1/4" h x 2 1/4" w After I make a new lid it will probably be closer to 4" tall. April 11, 201214 yr Beautiful!! Don't you just love the way Olive Wood smells when you turn it?! Charles Nicholls said: Not the best of images but this is what it finally turned out to be. The inside is tapered like a shot glass to allow easier access to 1 bushing at a time OIk next we have the latest projects which is a couple of bottle stoppers . One made of blood wood and the other is olive. And there you have it, the latest projects that I have completed. I'll be making 3 more stoppers in the next few days 1 from Cocobolo and 2 from amboyna burl. Stay tuned. April 11, 201214 yr Nice projects Charles. Sorry about the split, but looks like you recovered well. The olive wood stopper has some very nice grain in it.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
