Hot off the saw Monday April 9

I hope everybody enjoyed their Easter weekend, I did. Did anybody cut anything over the weekend? I started one project, and hopefully will get it finished tomorrow night. Saturday I was at the local farmers market for the first event of the year. They also had a community wide Easter egg hunt, and some other events for the kids, so we had a decent crowd, despite there being several other things going in nearby towns too. I didn't sell too much, but talked to a lot of people, saw some of last years customers, and talked to some friends I haven't seen in a couple of months, so all in all it was a good time. The weather was cool enough I didn't need to bother with a canopy so it was a quick setup and breakdown too.

Very interesting picture at the top, Greg.  Table, empty chair, trash can and a Police truck all lined up.

I hope that your lack of sales is not a prelude to the spring season this year - all talk and no $$$.  Scarey times we live in for us.  I still believe that we are the ones that will be able to tell when the economy turns around.  More folks will have expendable $$$ for things they dont HAVE to have for survival.

Anyhow - yes - I did finish a couple of things over the weekend.  Mind you, I have been working on them all week - just finished them this weekend.

The chair was empty because the usual occupant was taking pictures Grin.gif, and the police van, well the spot we use is right in front of the police station on the main road through town. Some of the usual vendors boycotted this one since they want to move it to a park which is 5 blocks off the main drag and in a spot where you have to go looking for it, who wants to be in a spot like that7.gif . The place we're at now is on the only highway going through town, so everybody sees it, and it's between the traffic lights so people are traveling slow enough that they will spot it. We'll see what happens 106.gif. Fred you're right about us getting a feel for the economy first, my full time business is the same, people don't have to have tattoos to survive, so it has been a rough couple of years, ya gotta have groceries and clothes.  Fred, looks like you had a productive week. They all look great.

Arlin, I enjoy being around the people and talking to them as much as I do selling items, of course a few sales do help 113.gif. It's kind of an escape for me since I'm around a whole different type of people than who we deal with at work 109.gif, so it is refreshing Grin.gif

I would love to do that someday.  I think it would be fun.

Arlin, I agree with Greg (I know - wonders will never cease  Grin.gif )

As long as Judy and I meet expenses and a little for the kitty, right now, we are happy - and besides, we are out in the fresh air, meeting with vendor friends, and chatting up new friends.

Give it a shot - and don't get down because of the economy - as someone famous said "Just do It".  Smile.gif

And we have a winner 69.gif69.gif, John you're the first to mention it. I plan on displaying it at all the events I do this year.
