wood stain and glue

Featured Replies

I have a nice piece of unfinished wood that has a coat of stain/sealer on it. I want to glue some small pieces on top of the stain. What kind of glue will work in this situation? The pieces are decorations only, no strength required.

Thanks

I think I would probably go with CA glue.

Maybe scuff it up a little and then the CA glue.

I'll make a test run of CA and maybe some Goop. I've had Goop work where nothing else will. I am pretty sure that regular wood glue and epoxy won't stick. I didn't think about CA.

Thanks

Over time, I've had the Goop let go. Some of these were outside projects and some just let go for no reason.
