April 18, 201214 yr Author I feel guilty that I have not put it up on the bench in over two months now. It is a basket case at this point. All I need to do is strip the paint off, get one spoke make for the hand wheel and put it all back together. I'll probably need some help again Larry on the wiring. Seems the photos I took to keep it clear, aren't so clear after all!John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops
April 18, 201214 yr John, This is one of the many reasons to take extensive pictures. Hopefully you have also labeled all the parts and kept them in bags or cans. I also know the feeling, I have my jointer about 90% complete but cant afford to get the motor from hock, it at the motor shop and has been for 4 months. My job is to give my kids things to discuss with their therapist
April 18, 201214 yr Author The motor shop owner seems like a pretty good guy!Ken, because of yours and Larry's insistence from the beginning, I have great news! I did take extensive pictures!I have all the parts in individual plastic baggies and the baggies are labeled, as soon as I received my new bearings for the drill press, I put the bearings in the bag with the old bearings that are labeled where they go, I hope I got it covered. While we are on the subject, my ID Plate is faded, is there any way to have a new plate made and a new Walker Turner label made from the original thin metal tag material? Thanks Ken!Hope you've been well.Ken Rasmussen said:John, This is one of the many reasons to take extensive pictures.
