April 26, 201214 yr Some of his show are interesting. He is a pocket screw kind of guy.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
April 26, 201214 yr He put his name on some cabinet clamps (I'll have to check the maker) but they are absolute crud, lol.
April 26, 201214 yr  His show is filmed/taped/recorded ( whatever) about oh, FIVE miles from my house! I can drive past his place.   sitting about halfway between Sidney and Piqua, Ohio, just south of the Lockington Dam. 'and may the road raise up to meet ye'
April 26, 201214 yr Author Scott Phillips has a different build style then some, his style fits many woodworkers out there today. He is a proud supporter of Woodcraft as well. What more can we ask for! John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops
April 26, 201214 yr I've seen a few of his shows and they're OK. The best one I''ve seen over the last few years is the Wood Smith Shop. Good projects and they have good tips as well as take you through the major points and techniques to a completed project. The one show I absolutely can not watch is the one with Tommy McDonald. He makes some nice projects but I don't care for the road trips or his delivery.
April 26, 201214 yr I like a lot of the projects Scott does, They are something a lot of people can do. I always look for ideas and you can easily change the joinery to fit what you like to use.He is certainly a master with a bandsaw. I have watched many of the items he makes and the way he works a bandsaw is pretty good.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
April 27, 201214 yr  I thought he was a turner.Gotta watch out for turners. They don't do things straight.
April 27, 201214 yr I always thought turners had no choice but to do things straight but they always seem to be spinning in one place turning circles.Cliff said:  I thought he was a turner. Gotta watch out for turners. They don't do things straight.
April 28, 201214 yr I for one enjoy his show, as well as Wood Smith Shop and Roy Underhill's Woodwright's Shop. Around here PBS and Create channels are our friends.lolNo greater Loves than God, Family, Friends, country, the sight of flying chips and the smell of saw dust.
