April 28, 201214 yr Finally, going to the finishing booth! Colonial cabinet is coming down the home stretch. I asked my client if he'd like a shot of the cabinet before it goes to finish, au-natural, I have not heard back from him yet, hopefully today and if he wants a shot, I'll post one here too, it turned out really nice, I am happy with the results. Yay! I am hesitant on posting a picture of his case here before the client gets a chance to see it. He could be lurking here, you never know! And if he is, I don't want to spoil the surprise at his front door upon delivery. John Morris The Patriot Woodworker Proud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops

April 29, 201214 yr Having a nice and relaxing time with lovely sunny weather! After breakfast we went to the Fashion Island shopping center and walked around then headed down to San Clemente and walked around there in the shops and picked up a few things. Then back up to Dana Point Harbor and found a nice grassy place by the water and brought out the beach chairs and the cooler and set for about 2 hours having lunch and reading.I was thinking of you today down in San Clemente as in one of the consignment shops they had this huge (about 9' long 7' tall) hutch made out of "Tiger Maple". It was really something to see and only $5,000.I only had my cellphone so I couldn't get a decent photo of it, but it was impressive.John Morris said:How's the trip going Allen!Allen Worsham said:John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops

April 30, 201214 yr Author I hope you guys had a wonderful time Allen! I love Dana Point. As a matter of fact the last surfboard I had made came from Hobie in Dana Point, Phil Edwards shaped it and I still have that ol long-board. This past weekend was awesome weather wise, I bet it was nice there. That hutch sounds beautiful!Allen Worsham said:Having a nice and relaxing time with lovely sunny weather! After breakfast we went to the Fashion Island shopping center and walked around then headed down to San Clemente and walked around there in the shops and picked up a few things.
