Almost done with two items.  A "picture show is about to begin ( Sorry, no Popcorn)No, it's NOT a brand new plane, just looks like itThis is it's "Good Side"   This was a $4  find.   And now the "Feature Presentation"It does say STANLEY, as in a #80 Scraper Plane.  and the "backside", showing the cleaned up blade and holder,  and one moreThat black smudge is just some black paint, that leaked around the mouth opening.   Quite a change from the as bought pictureA $4 scraper plane, brought back to life.    Not too bad......

 Block plane is a later model Stanley 9 1/2.     Needs a little more tuning, but makes nice shavings as is. Anybody like that "piano" finish???? Either a or a will do....
