May 6, 201214 yr I finally got to post this. I carved this sign with the 2 cherry chisels I recieved as a gift last year. I know they are not carving chisels, however, I made it with what I had and think it came out pretty good.   It had taken me 2 weeks to make and another week to seal and paint. I sealed it with 50/50 mix of tung oil and mineral spirits 2 times on both sides.   And as you can see this is what the neighbor picked out for painting the background color on the Red Ceder. He also likes and has several horses, so I made one on his sign also. The eye is turned from Ebony  Cheers Arlin
