For me, I have to remake a stand-alone eagle.  Customer rejected my idea of using wormy maple - didn't like a couple of little brown streaks on it.  My idea was to get off of the stark whiteness of maple and get just a little color in it.  Oh, well, I'll put it in stock.

Secondly, I have to format my wife's newsletter for the Duluth Historical Society .  Since I built and maintain her web site, I also get the dubious honor of formatting all her other ideas  .

That's my story for this weekend and I'm sticking to it.  What's yours?

Hey Fred, its Mother's Day so you have to be nice to your wife.  Speaking of which, I'm building a trash can storage cabinet for my sweetie.  The raised panel door, drawer and cabinet are finished.  Got to finish sand it, stain and finish it.

Well I finished the Mega board and it will get shipped today.

Now it is on to working on the porch swings Ready in the morning to start cutting white oak and get two of the swings ready to go. In the extra time (yea right) I have got to make as many cutting boards as I can between now and Thursday or Friday morning. I am doing a large two day Art Festival and yesterday I got an order for all of the large cutting boards I had already made. What luck right. I was working ahead for this show and now I have none. I will be on vacation from the regular job next week so that I can get enough made to have something to put on the tables since I have already paid. Gonna be a busy week with lots of sawdust flying.

Will be spending some time with my Mom on Mother's Day and taking my lovely bride out for dinner.

The Mother's Day stuff will keep me out of the shop this weekend, have to resume on Monday.

i have a wedding to attend tonight so i'll mainly be glueing up some chopping block blanks and gt started on some salt pepper shakers if time permits. I have to do this around finding storage for the pile of lumber that has accumulated just inside the door to my shop.

This one I must gloat about 10 boards of 6/4 dark red Cherry none shorter than 10' or narrower than 6" for the unrealistic price of $50. Just my luck to be in the right place at the right time
