Still pretending to be a Network Administrator/Computer Guru so there wasn't any lathe or shop time this week or the foreseeable future.

First-

The Woodturner's Workshop is a site with a tremendous amount of articles, projects and jigs for all ranges of abilities. The site also links to other great stuff including  some introductory videos for various decorative cuts on the lathe- http://www.turningtools.co.uk/videos/videos.html.

As Memorial Day is fast approaching, the "Ezine" from Woodworker's Journal has free plans for a Memorial Flag Case.

You can find the plans here. It should be an easy weekend build and the plans even include a method for scaling the case for different size flags.
