May 16, 201214 yr I've had several CSUSA Gents and Statesman kits sitting on the shelf for a while, so I finally got around to making a set of adapter sleeves for my barrel trimmer. I glued up a Corian blank for the sleeves. Cut the Corian blanks to the same length as a slimline pen tube, drilled them out and used 5 minute epoxy to glue the tubes into the Corian blanks. I turned the sleeves down to within a frog's hair of "the right size" then sanded them down little by little until I achieved a perfect fit.  This is a Platinum Gent with a Redheart skin that has a couple of coats of Tru Oil gun stock finish rubbed in to warm the color a bit and finished up with a a few coats of CA sanded to 400 and buffed with a little White Diamond.   Thanks for looking, Donnie  Â

May 17, 201214 yr Author Thanks guys... it's kind of a crappy picture, but the pen came out better than I thought it would. I've had that blank for 5 or 6 years (I don't even remember where it came from) and never considered turning it until I saw a Redheart turkey call striker on another forum. I made that one for myself, so it's OK, but I'm looking for some pimptastic stabilized blanks for the rest of them.
