My first intarsia.

I have done a few segmentations before but never an intarsia.  The Bird is painted pine but the branch is natural wood colors other than the pink on the flower.  That's aspen and then colored with Rit fabric dye

the day is so easy I have qt jars of it.  I just drop the pieces in leave for a couple minutes then pull them out and let dry.  The longer you leave the deeper the color. It also gets a little darker as it drys.   If you warm the water on the stove works even better but there is no need for that


Hey Joe, nice!!!!! I don't see much intarsia painted this much, but this is pretty nice, the colors are a wonderful break from the typical all wood tone intarsia. Great job man.113.gif
