Hot off the saw Mon. May 28, 2012 Memorial Day

Featured Replies

I hope everybody is having a great Memorial Day. Take a moment to remember what this day is really all about. We've been getting rain most of yesterday and it looks like more today, which is a blessing, since it has been so dry around here. I go a few things cut this past week. Enjoy the pics.

That first photo looks like what I have on my bench. Still have to "tweak" it a little and then I can finish it up.

Playing with the scroll saw some over the weekend, finding out some problems I "had" with it. My wife has a thing for butterflies so I've been making a few of them while I figure out the saw.

Nothing came off the saw this past weekend as we were at a Fine Arts show in Blue Ridge, GA.

I want to point y'all to another thread that has a picture of, what I would consider, best of show in our eyes.

Those are really nice Greg!!!

Got a pattern for the alphabet?

Greg,

Very nice cuttings!  They all look great.  I just recently saw that ABC puzzle and plan to cut it, too.

Hey first thanks for the compliments everybody Grin.gif secondly take a close look at that alphabet pattern, by the letter Q there are 2 small pieces that will be a choking hazard. I post a closer pic of mine so you can see how I eliminated it, it will probably be tomorrow.

Greg,

Thanks for the heads up on the choking hazard.  Will be watching for your updated post.

Ok here's the pics, on the pattern I marked in red what I think would be the problem areas.

And on the actual piece you can check out what I did

Yes, I see what you mean about a choking hazard.  Your plan is much improved!
