Toxic woods

I just picked up the June/July issue of woodcraft magazine and lo and behold they have an article, and chart on this. Just a couple of weeks ago Ron Dudelston had asked about Sapele. It's well worth reading

Saw that too.

In my opinion, this is one of their better issues in a long time.

Yep, which is why I don't subscribe to any magazines, I'd rather go by Books A Million and flip through them to see if there is anything I will actually read.

Resporator anyone?????  Personally, I can't stand to have one of those things on when scrolling.  Sanding and spraying, yes.  What I do have is a great fan blowing on me.  If I get even a little whiff of dust, I turn the fan speed up.  Have the air filtration system any time I am working.

I believe just about ANY wood dust can hurt you if you breath enough of it.  (Just like aspirin can kill you if you eat enough of the stuff - especially in California - just about anything can give you cancer in that state - just take a look at their laws.)

I saw a decent price on respirators at Supergrit. Not sure if they are in their catalog but if you contact them, they will certainly be glad to help you out. These are absolutely great people to work with.

I did see that article and for the record, I wouldn't trade my Woodcraft subscription for all the others combined.
