June 11, 201214 yr  Got a new handle to make, it seems.    Just won a Stanley #120 on ebay.  All the metal parts are there, just missing a piece of wood.   This plane will replace the #110 i sold last week.  Still looking for a low angle block plane.    I might have enough stock to make a knob for this little plane.    We'll see in about a week.   Plane was just 60 or so miles away, but it's cheaper to ship the little box, than for me to drive up to Lexington, Ohio to pick it up.   Price of a tank of gas, vs USPS....... Guess which won that deal... Yes, there will be pictures as I go.   I could drill and tap a new knob, seems a lot easier than trying to thread it for stanley's style of threads.  Maybe i'll wind up with a second "Death Star Plane"...... June 11, 201214 yr Author That knob is from a Great Neck's front knob.   I cut it down.    Wasn't much to it, since it was Bakelite.    Will have to turn Two knobs anyway, might as well have a place for both...Charles Nicholls said: That knob looks fine, is that a replacement?
