Air Compressor blow out...

Featured Replies

Yesterday as I was charging up the compressor for final assembly's on my orders going out this week.

My Compressor decided to cut loose and blew the head. I almost went into Panic mode with an Oh Sh!t what now feeling!!

I wiped off all the dust and gathered model numbers etc. and found a phone number contact on the label.. got to thinking of how old this unit was and I purchased it back in 2001. then got to thinking this place probably isn't in business any longer and costs for a new compressor OuCH!

Was going to go home and see if I could look up the parts via model number and Google...

Then WTH I dialed the number given.

turns out Dewalt handles these now and the woman over the phone found all the parts I needed as I explained it to her over the phone (very helpful customer service) So $61.00 bucks and 7 day wait I should be back in business with the old compressor...

in the meantime I ran out the door and borrowed a portable compressor from a friend of mine to stay on target with getting my orders out on time.

I love those stories  about how the  people like  astronauts used JB Weld to repair the space shuttle and re mount the Hubble mirrors and how they used it to put the wings back on a 747 twenty years ago after a crash  and it's still flying.
