This looks like a quick project to perhaps expand your craft show inventory-

Spent this week preparing some maple rolling pin blanks. Found some cherry when cleaning up the wood rack so these rolling pins will have walnut and cherry inserts.

A friend had a request for a counter top holder for the rolling pin while in use- to keep it from rolling around/off the counter. This one is in a scrap piece of cedar. The next ones will be in a wood used for the rolling pins. No lathe work.

I love the candles Lew, those are a sure temptation to buy a lathe! That rolling pin holder is very genius. Nice picture too!

Lew - what kind of wood did you use for the candle holders?

Fred,

I copied the picture from the Craft Supplies USA page but I believe the wood might be Cocobolo or Macassar Ebony

Those are nice Lew. I bought a pack of the candles but haven't got them turned yet. They do sell pretty good at shows.

I like the rolling pin holder. Very neat.

Great projects.

The rolling pin holder is a great idea.
