This one was a nice challenge.

The tree is walnut,

the eagle head and tail feathers are curley maple

his beak is cyprus and paduk for the tounge

eye was a bit of birds eye maple

the mountains made up of Granidillo

Aspen for the snow.

Next we have a bull skull

the skull is some LOVELY poplar I found.

horns made from aromatic cedar

the bead above the feathers is Jatoba or brazilian cherry

and the feathers are a combo of sycamore and paduk

And my latest one is a Koi or Japanees Carp

Absolutely beautiful work Joe. My favorite is the Eagle. Intarsia is my favorite form of scroll sawing. It's Painting with wood!

Thanks for sharing!

I think we should have an INTARSIA forum. It may bring more traffic and potential members to our site. It is truly an art form that many people love to see and perform.

I love these, That Koi looks ready to swim up stream

Thanks for the comments.  Mike I finsh them with a coat of sanding sealer then several coats of a spray on laquer.  Fast and easy.   This afternoon I'm taking all I have up to a Fine Arts market in Dickson TN to see if they are interested in adding these to the other items I already sell thru them.
