HOT in CO

Featured Replies

The heat (103º today), wind (gusts up to 30mph) and low humidity (9%) has kept me out of my shop a lot, but I have finished a piece and will post it soon. I am waiting on the other piece to make the set. You know I make unusual things and these are no exception. I don't have air conditioning in my garage, don't need it 95% of the time. However when it gets in to the 100s, it does get warm in there, even the fans pump out hot air.  So far, none of the 14 active fires have been close to us, but we can smell the smoke from time to time. You have to feel really bad for those people that are losing their homes.

I hope to finish those projects tomorrow and will post them, if I can work in my shop for a few hours, I may be able to do it.

One thing good about the heat, paint drys quicker! Grin.gif

Here in Mt. it's been a record 99 for the last 2 days. Cooling down for the next few. My days off for the next 2 so I can get busy. 113.gif113.gif

Going back up to 109 Wednesday and climbing. to hot to work.

Ron I think it is hot everywhere right now. I have air in the shop but don't leave it on all the time when I am not there. So in the evenings it is so hot it won't cool down much.

Hope the fires stay away from you and yes I hate to see those folks loose everything. That must be tough.

Larry, we finally got a break in the heat. Our monsoon season is starting and we are getting scattered showers. I think that a high of 93 is a cooling off after what we had, but your temperatures are far worse. I will try to finish my projects today and get some pictures taken.

Stay as cool as you can and be smart by drinking a lot of water.

Ron

I'm in FL and you guys have it worse in WI! I am from Chicago and people in FL never believe me when I say summer in the Midwest is worst then the S. lots of water and hide from the sun.

Randy,

It made it to 99, with a dewpoint of 74. Humidity 58%. Heat index was 104 at 3:00 PM 18.gif

I'm in Kenosha County about 5 miles north of the WI / Ill border. If you ever went to The Brat Stop you were about 2 1/2 miles east of me.

Got to 104 here in Ohio today, didn't even look at tomorrow's forecast.Tongue.gif    Off until sat evening.    whatever it is outside at work, add 20-30 degrees inside.    glad I'm sitting at home.   Maybe tomorrow NIGHT I can get that KK7 re-habbed.   Grin.gif

Steve, I know very well about the Ohio weather, as I spent the first 67 years of my life there. It is still home, but Colorado weather is the best I've been in. It is just great and I wish I would have moved here years ago.
