July 5, 201214 yr How do I use the tool (yes it's a chunk of wire, but trust me it's a tool) in the picture to improve my out come at the drillpress? Good, Better, Best never let it restTill your Good is Better and your Better is Best.
July 5, 201214 yr I'll hazard a guess. I'd chuck it up and use it to sweep the face of the board to ensure the board is perpendicular to the chuck.Ron DudelstonSite HostAbove and Beyond WoodWorks
July 5, 201214 yr Chuck it up in the press press, Set the wire to the edge of the drill press table. Then rotate the chuck by hand, and this will square the table to the chuck. It should touch the same around the drill press table. Once teh tbale is squared, lock it down.Hope this helps.Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
July 5, 201214 yr Author You guessed it Wayne. It's a simple low cost but effective way to check the table is true to the chuck. And it's one size fits all. Good, Better, Best never let it restTill your Good is Better and your Better is Best.
