July 6, 201214 yr I have never seen this type of rocker, it was pretty incredible how it was made. Me and the family were at the County Fair a couple weeks ago and San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association had a judged exhibit and man was it cool. The rocker below is all ply, about 1/8" thick plys, glued up in what I can only imagine a huge block, then shaped to its final form. I was blown away. And what was most amazing, I did not see a ribbon on this work. I wish I could have sat in it, but they were very strict on the no touch policy, security guard abounded!
