Now this is what nice fine shavings should look like. This is the Bedrock 602 that Arlin Purchased from me. I still have lots of planes for sale and they all work this good or better. I wont tolerate a poor working plane. I am also now offering a sharpening service I can make any tool sharp and My prices are fair.

Joe I am not having the same problem so I am not shure what you are seeing or why But I will gladly ask John about why it is happening if you want me too

Well guys the buyer of this plane has backed out of the deal so it is for sale again I am asking 600 dollars for it

I am not sure why this is happening Joe. Let me check into it, If you could please refresh my memory on the browser your using. Thanks!

Joe the chris cross thing is a shinto rasp it is an esential tool for shaping wood it has a coarse and a fine side I use it to shape things like cabriolet legs and the totes for saws and hand planes this is not expensive at all you can get the set for around a hundred dollars there are 3 in the full set I like the short one with the plane handle and knob on it it is a great tool.

Nice looking plane!

What is that criss-cross tool laying on the bench... with a tapered pointed end??

Looks like some corrugated steel mesh...  but, it's a tool by the looks of it...

I have the Scary Sharp kit from Rockler...  works pretty good for me...  don't use it very much...

...  hey!  That's something I could do inside the house, while it's so HOT out in the shop!

... should have thought of that!

That's a nice looking plane!

edit:

Hey!  That's a small plane!  Not much bigger than a block plane!  Cute lil thing!

That last image didn't show up until & clicked "Image"...  You might want to fix that...  repost that last picture so we can easily see it...  It puts it into the proper percpective!  LOL

It's good info Joe for our development team behind the scenes, we need to know about the little glitches with specific browsers, I'll pass this on to our team! Thanks Joe.

OK...

Opera  Win.XP

It displayed 5 out of 6...

To me, odds are there is something different about pic.#6 from 1-5.

Good Luck...

I personally don't care about it...  I have seen it by clicking on the "Image" link...

I just thought Lance would have a better chance of selling it if the Picture was there...  That's all...

No biggy here...

Joe

I just tried it with Safari and got a tiny question mark in place of the last picture. Hmmm

Now I just tried it with Google Chrome and I got the same thing your seeing Joe.

I'd like to go back to another post we had earlier on this subject,

The following browsers are supported on our network, none other are guaranteed.

As you can see Google Chrome and Safari is on our list, I will get with the tech team and find out why this is happening, thanks for your time and feedback Joe.

  • Firefox 11 and 12

  • Google Chrome

  • Internet Explorer 8 and 9

  • Safari 4 and 5

Joe, the picture that Lance inserted was inserted by image link, I checked it out and it appears the link was not working well. I went ahead and saved the image to my desktop and loaded it up by PC browse, it worked fine as you can see. I am not sure if it was a browser problem as much as it was an image url problem.

Joe, I see a total of 5 pics in your post, 3 handplanes, one screen shot, and one with you and Maloof.

Just for kicks...  I clicked the Image link to see pic.#6...  then I Saved it...  and Here IS PICTURE #6:ning-testlance4b-27098-93.jpg?width=721ning-testlance4a-27098-40.jpg?width=721ning-testlance4-27098-67.jpg?width=721ning-testlance3-27098-85.jpg?width=721ning-joesampic006b-27098-48.jpgAs you can see, all pictures that I tried to Insert, are not there!  Surprise!  Surprise!!

I tried 4 separate pictures...  NONE of them made it!

Therefore, there is nothng wrong with the Pictures.

Is there a maximum number of Images that can be posted per a Thread in your website coding?

That would make sense to me at this point.

I'm going to start a New Thread and see if the 4 pictures I just tries, work...  Standby...

Isn't this F U N ?!

And, yes you can post as many pics as you want in a thread, one to a thousand, it doesn't matter

After uploading Joe, just try refreshing the browser, sometimes that helps.

Joe Lyddon said:

ALL of those pictures, in your post, were NOT PRESENT after I attempted to upload them.

Now, they show!

Obviously, they uploaded properly...  BUT did not Display!

Looks like an intermittent problem with the website coding...

It's obviously working now!

See the explanation at the end of my long TEST!  LOL

Joe it's not the coding. With coding it either is or isn't, if we had faulty coding, the pictures would never work. Coding does not come and go, it is written, then embedded. I am forwarding this to our tech support team and we'll wait to hear back from them if any action needs to be taken. But the original problem with Lances pic was that the image link location was faulty.

I have loaded up hundreds of photos here, and I cannot ever recall a problem that wasn't caused by user error. I would venture to say there is something embedded in Lances photo that did not agree with our site.

Whatever the problem may be, we are looking into it.

If I may ask, just out of curiosity what made you think it was coding? I'd like to pass that on to our engineers as well. Thanks.

John,

When first posted, none of those pictures made it and were NOT being displayed as they are now... proving the pictures & uploading worked OK with the problem being in the website coding somehow.

It must of been the little ol lady Joe, because no one fixed anything. No one came in and fixed "Bad Code". Nothing has changed, I did not do anything and neither did tech support. Its the same as it always has been buddy!

I too will throw it out to the little ol lady in pasadena. In other words, nobody will ever know for sure. But as you said, whatever your doing, it;s working now. and I am glad it's working for ya.
