July 13, 201214 yr About midway through the summer, isn't that Hard to believe. My summer job list just keeps growing. Not much shop time for me this weekend. Packing and clearing out my parents house. Getting things I to storage and the like. Hope to find a little time to just turn a few items but not sure about that. I picked up a new Stanley Shoulder plane No. 92. Looking forward to giving it a try. Also picked up a new Dewalt 12 SCMS. it replaced my old miter saw and RAS. gives me a little more floor real estate back. So what about you all, how does your mid July weekend look? Are you in the shop, doing yard work, home improvement, HDL or relaxing in the heat? We want to know what you are doing so here we go for another week. July 13, 201214 yr Well, my daughter and son-in-law are on an Alaskan cruise so we have 3 grand-daughters at our house. Woodwoking is on hold until Monday.  My top for the new router table is to be delivered today so Monday I'll be building a new router table. When that is complete I'll start building kitchen cabinets when I get the urge.Ron DudelstonSite HostAbove and Beyond WoodWorks

July 14, 201214 yr Not much here unless re-arranging the garage/ shop again. I know I just sort of did that earlier this year, but just not really happy how the west side wall turn out and how the miter saw station took up more space when from where I move it earlier. This time I'm moving it back on the west wall and building a new lumber rack so I can take the old one out from behind the miter saw station and be able to put it against the west wall. The new lumber rack will be able to hold more lumber and still let me gain a few feet of floor space ( I'm hoping). Do have another project from my son which now want sort of cabinet to match his new desk but to have 3 drawers. I'll have to get more white oak next week. Also may have another desk to make but out of cherry.   Appears his friend/ and college roommate wants one. Guess wife honey do furniture will just to wait.
