July 19, 201213 yr  I got a finish on the new handles today! From a rusty old mess...to a user with a loose tote..Knob had a crack on the other side, wasn't happy with either the knob, or the Stanley style tote, went out and made new handles from some Black Walnut. Installed them..Yeah, some burn marks, got rid of most of them, then a clear coat of finish...all cleaned up, and ready for work, again. That ironcame with the plane. After i cleaned and sharpened it, i found out it is a Stanley Sweetheart iron.   On a KK7???? Oh well... 'and may the road raise up to meet ye' 'and may the road raise up to meet ye'

July 20, 201213 yr Author I'll know more when the mailman drops off a couple boxes.   There MIGHT be a Bailey #5 in the works, or another tobe determined Stanley.    Hoping it's not another Parts Plane.     Although that last one turned out great, I still need parts... July 20, 201213 yr Author The base, a Wards Master (Bailey style #5, type4 frog style) is in the mail right now.    Bidding on a couple "Projects" at the moment. will know more later this week.  Beyond that, MUMS the word..... IF I get out bid on those two items, no big deal.... i will just keep looking.   Just need the frog areas to get things moving along.   Thought I had the parts, the plane proved otherwise.  Nice thing is a #4 planes parts will fit a #5 base.  I think a 4-1/2 will fit into a #5-1/2, or a #6.    A#3 will fit into a 5-1/4 base, as well.  Strange how that happens....
