July 26, 201213 yr  Ok, got the "Test Bed" ready to go, just some old pine, WITHOUT knots.  Took a couple planes I'm working on for a test drive.  One "passed", one still needs some work. The plane that passed:Franken Plane.  Still need to make a tote, maybe tonight? Another look? Not too shaby?  And the plane that needs some more work?Yep, a little thick, but getting better. I even put the Parts Plane's tote on this Union #4g, as the old one cracked gain.  I think that the chip breakers need the work, too much slop in one, not enough on the other.   Oh weelll, back to the Lah-bore-ah-tory, Igor! July 27, 201213 yr Author  While the test track was still in place this morning, gave a couple jacks a test drive.  The Buck Brothers 14" Jack has been a "Problem Child" for awhile.   I think i have it about fixed to use:Still needs a little more work, but that is why I have a test track.   Seems to be a problem in setting the depth of cut.   Right now, the "fix" is a small hammer upside the iron's rear end. Got a little more tuning on the Franken plane #5, and gave it another spin on the track...Getting a bit better, everytime.   THAT'S what I like. 'and may the road raise up to meet ye'
