August 7, 201213 yr I finally finished my first project out of hardwood. I made a towel rack for my wife. We redid our bathroom this spring and she wanted a new towel rack. It took me several months due to my work schedule but it is done. The back is 1/4" oak plywood and everything else is made of solid oak boards (white oak, I think). All boards have been cut, machined and glued. Ready to start my next project. I am attaching a picture of the rack. Let me know if it does not show up. Dan  towel%20rack.JPG

August 8, 201213 yr Author I have two projects started. I am attempting to make a box I saw on one of the woodworking shows out of a beautiful piece of maple a friend gave me.The second is I am attempting to make a wooden handplane. I am struggling with using a handplane but I shall persevere.
