August 14, 201213 yr  well, some Brass (?) hardware showed up this morning, attached to a saw handle.  Decided to clean them bolts up.  (Brass rusts???) I have a little trick to polish these up, quickly.   First a look at the partsand the toolsI chuck a part into the drill..use one hand to run the drill, the other to hold the purple scratchy pad against the part..should look like this when done ( THIS ain't brass!) medallions take a little longer, as I have to hold the pad into the recesses. When all are done, just mount them into the saw of your chioce..in this case, a Disston No. 16/D-16 from around the 1920s era.  10 pointer, skew back.  Crack was repaired as well.   Needed a re-finish, so....here'tis! sitting in the "drying rack" on my "Bench".  The other two are users, getting ready to go onto Ebay.  'and may the road raise up to meet ye'
