hello from Michigan  just joined the site looking forward to getting new ideas from all here . i have been a wood worker for+ 60 years mostly boat building & cabinet  making, now do to health issues cant build boats so will stick to the scroll saw    Ron

hi Cliff, in the past 20 years I've been building composite boats, plywood, epoxy, and fiber-glass combined. we built boats from 12ft to 20ft based on my design i call the queequegs coffin series. have had a great time building these boats. i have a 12ft boat for fishing. a 16ft for fishing and duck hunting, and a 20ft used for fishing and duck hunting. be glad to share any knowledge about boat building with anyone who is interested. Ron

I had fun during my time of building/repairing boats with my father, I had a chance to pull a 12 ft boat out of a trash bin. It actually looked like it was tied off to a post during a hurricane and slapped a post just back of mid section on the starboard side and knocked a huge hole in it, split the keel nearly stem to stern and a few other things. it was a gnarly rebuild but it was fun, made from wood and fiberglass. I wish I had pictures but this was around the time that digital cameras were just being invented.
