August 27, 201213 yr Well it's Monday, and we all know what that means!!! It's quiz time folks!!! Welcome to our weekly Woodcraft Magazine Quiz, all questions and answers are extrapolated from the current issue of Woodcraft Magazine. For the rules and regs go to Woodcraft Magazine Quiz. This weeks quiz question is from their current issue of Woodcraft Magazine, August/September. And our door prize for the week is a nice set of paper plans to build that wine rack you've been wanting, we need to keep those bottles out of the cupboard and in a nice horizontal position to allow the rotation of those fine wines. So here we go folks! It's a double square, why have it? John Morris The Patriot Woodworker Proud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops
August 27, 201213 yr Page 67I recommend a 4" Starrett DOUBLE SQUARE. Compared to the larger tool, the smaller square is easier to handle and can be tucked into an apron pocket when it's not in use.
August 29, 201213 yr to mark square on things.I don't know why they call it that but double square is a tool with a sliding steel scale in a slot that you can lock in place.I guess it's double because it sticks out either side of the cast iron head and both are square

We just need more folks to get off their duff and jump in. It's been slow around here the last few weeks, I think folks are wrapping up their summer affairs, once fall and winter sets in, this place will be rocking once again!Joe Lyddon said: Golly... ...
